Aardvarks Are People Too

ASTRONAUT AARDVARK ATTACK (AAaA) originated as two brothers (Pacer and The Stride) from Louisville.  The band self-released an LP (Songs for the Escape Pod) in 2019 and followed with two singles Tin Feet (2020) and You Can't Pretend (To Be Vaccinated) 2021. While The Stride still contributes to tracks, Pacer has taken the AAaA moniker as a solo project of recent from Central New York.

A new EP as well as singles to support the release are in the works as of Fall 2022. The first single is expected to drop in February of 2023, four years after their debut LP.

The band boasts eclectic indie-pop, alternative, and shoegazing tunes heavy in up-beat tempos, unforgettable guitar hooks, compelling lyrics, power synths, Hammond organs, electric pianos, and melodic bass lines. Indie-pop, New Wave, and ‘90’s alternative rock, with an occasional taste of world music. The group has been likened to Talking Heads, The Cars, The Shins, Slowdive, The Church, U2, The Cure, The Smiths, The Police, and Stone Roses. Influences include Rush, REM, The Smiths, The Police, Bruce Hornsby, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Steely Dan, Solas, Big Blue Ball, Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Cars, U2.
